Capcom has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch exclusive game Monster Hunter Rise will arrive on PC next year.

The publisher announced today that the game is in development but is still in the early stages, meaning its release is still a long way off. Nintendo probably also has some sort of exclusivity agreement in place to ensure that Switch is the only platform on which to play the new title in the near future.

In an interview with IGN, Monster Hunter producer Rise Ryozo Tsujimoto explained that the team has received many questions from fans about a PC port.

“We have received a lot of requests for a PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, particularly from foreign players, so we have decided to develop a PC version, which we aim to release in early 2022,” Tsujimoto said. “This is still in development, so I’d like to share more detailed information when the time is right.”

While Capcom hadn’t previously revealed that Monster Hunter Rise would be available for other platforms, a major leak earlier this year suggested a PC version was in the works.

Monster Hunter Rise will launch on March 26 for Switch.
