Originally, the Outbreak mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War would be released tomorrow. However, it is now playable a full day earlier than previously announced.
That’s not the only thing available a day in advance. Players can now also download Season 2 for the game one day in advance. Unfortunately, however, no additional content is available for the season yet. But you’ll have to go ahead and download that season if you want to play Outbreak mode early.
As the video above explains, your next step after downloading the update is to put your console in offline mode. After that, you should start the game and go to the Zombies option. If you explore “Custom Games”, you should be able to see the epidemic mode.
This is the good news.
Here’s the bad news.
Since you have to keep your console disconnected from the internet for this to work, you won’t be able to go online and play Outbreak with your friends just yet. However, you’ll be able to learn more about the mode and its secrets before this free update releases on Thursday, February 24 at 10am PT / 1pm ET.
