T3 Arena review: Experience an Overwatch-like shooter on your mobile

Arena T3 it’s a 3v3 Shooter in the arena quite similar to Watch over. The game features fast-paced action, loads of heroes and game modes, and more. In this article, we will review T3 Arena and share our first impressions of the game.

T3 Arena looks like a pretty good and refined game. It has that casual look but the gameplay can be quite intense. If you’ve played Overwatch, you’ll likely be able to notice some similarities in terms of visual art style, but T3 Arena chooses a third-person perspective rather than a first-person perspective, unlike Overwatch.

Choose your character and face your opponents

Starting with revision, as stated earlier, the T3 arena offers fast-paced 3v3 action. Players can unlock and choose heroes (each hero has a different characteristic weapon and abilities) and then enter game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Crystal Assault, Control, Free For All, and more. There isn’t much to complain about when it comes to gameplay.

Everything is smooth and although some heroes are better than others or even OPs, skill matters in this game. Some heroes deal hits well while others absorb damage and don’t deal most damage. That said, though, some heroes were definitely a little anemic when it came to their skills or weapons. One cool thing is that you can even try out the heroes before unlocking them in a practice range.

Something to keep in mind is to change your hero before entering matchmaking if you want to try a new hero. The game unfortunately doesn’t have a pre-game menu for choosing a character, and players have to do this manually in advance. The game allows you to play together with your friends or against them even in private rooms.

Engage in fast-paced combat across multiple game modes and maps

Now the game offers an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective that probably isn’t as good as a first-person perspective, which would fit better in game modes and smaller maps, but it’s not that bad to play with. The progression was fairly quick in terms of unlocking new heroes and there are 14 of them, but it was slower when unlocking new game modes.

One of the problems is that aim assist and automatic fire are really accurate and instant, which makes them an unfair advantage to those who use them. Other than that, there weren’t many other problems. The game also performed well at higher settings on a mid-range device. There were no major bugs or glitches during our playthrough.

The game offers lively graphics along with decent controls

The game has a pretty cool Overwatch-themed art style. It looks good and vibrant in terms of graphics, and the sound effects are pretty standard. The soundtrack is also quite interesting. The game felt a little blurry and low resolution at times. The controls are decent enough and there were no problems using them. The user interface is quite clean and fits well with the overall style of the game.

There are no advertisements but there are IAPs including the Premium Pass

The game has no ads but does have in-app purchases. For real money, you can purchase in-game currency that can be used for chests, upgrade your heroes, and the premium pass, which gives you plenty of things including chests and cosmetics as you progress through the game. This pass is not exclusively for those who pay and also has a lot of free stuff.

Final verdict

The game is a pretty good title overall with quite a lot of content to enjoy. The gameplay is fun and addicting, it looks good visually, and there are very few things to complain about. Now the problem of aim assist and auto shooting along with some characters not being too good are something to fix and a first person perspective would also be welcome. But apart from that, the game provided a great gaming experience.

Another problem that isn’t really the game’s fault was the lack of real players. While robots aren’t bad in the game, more real players could make the game more challenging in a fun way. This may have something to do with the game being active early access only via TapTap for Android. If you were looking for an Overwatch-like game, this one is worth a try. It has all the elements needed for a fun and serious shooter, while still having a casual feel.
