Final verdict

Overall, Worlds Adrift is an extraordinary concept. Over time it could become a truly great game alongside notorious world-making games like Minecraft. The introduction promises a world full of ancient history, almost like an open sandbox version of Horizon: Zero Dawn. There are many places this game could go when it ends. At present, it’s a little too buggy and a little too sandboxed. After you’ve built a few ships and jumped to a few islands, playing can feel pointless, which is a shame. Hopefully, more will be added to this game than extrapolating its lore before its final release.
