All about time management

Some of you may be wondering what the benefits of a browser-based game are. I have two words for you: “time management”.

Most players inevitably have less and less time to devote to the game. Gone are the days of spending eight hours checking those noobs online. Once you are assigned a full-time job, a spouse, and perhaps a few children, you may be lucky enough to have an hour or two of play every night.

With this game, you can dedicate as long as you want to it. You won’t feel compelled to play for another hour until you reach something like a save point. Instead, your empire will be waiting for you if you have to leave (as long as no one has wiped you out – we’ll talk about that in a minute).

I should also mention that this browser-based game doesn’t require any special plug-ins. This means that if you have an office job that involves downtime, you may be able to confidently manage your empire at work. Just make sure the boss isn’t around!

Interactive warfare

The actual gameplay of the AD2460 will look familiar to anyone who has placed one of those “build a base” games on your smartphone. You are mainly reading, selecting updates and waiting for various recovery timers.

However, make no mistake – you are not alone in the galaxy. All other players in the game share the same virtual space lanes. And as your empire starts small and remote (keeping you safe), your expansion will eventually mean you’ll reach other players.

The next step is in your hands. You could start an intergalactic war and try to wipe them out. Alternatively, you can forge an alliance and start beating the competition together.

This adds some elements of adrenaline and fun to what could otherwise be a menu game.
