In this Tactical Football beginner’s guide, we will break down all the game modes the game has to offer and share some valuable tips and strategies from our playing experience.

Tactical football stars 600 licensed players that feature in Premier League and, including all the famous clubs around the world. The combination of turn-based strategic elements gave this game a unique perspective. You play as a manager in tactical football and need to show your football mind in limited-time matches, world-class competitions, drills, and heated PVPs. The gameplay bears a resemblance to the FIFA Director series that comes from the same Developer House.
Building your Ultimate XI takes time. It takes some effort to level up and get the players you want. Initially you need to field a 1-star scout squad. However, as you begin your journey, the game allows you to sign a 3-star scout (top rated player) from the Premier League who would add much-needed boost to your squad.
Each of your players would display unique and elegant skill moves that will improve as they level up. You have to play them on their merits and test your football knowledge by making quick tactical decisions. We will go into all of this in detail. First, let’s try to understand the various game modes Tactical Football has to offer.

Tactical Football offers 3 varieties of PVP game modes. Let’s analyze them in detail.
Ranked match
Ranked Matches allow you to compete in real-time online matches with users from all over the world. They use calling metrics Classes to represent the strength of users in every season. A season usually lasts about a month. Initially, you would be inside Class 5 amateur. Your rating would increase or decrease based on wins and losses, and the rating value would result in promotion or demotion between classes.
Championship match
Leagues are ways in which you play online, against users from all over the world using a deck of your own creation. Once a League has started, you can simply select an opponent to play against. There is a limit to the number of league games you can play each day, but more games will be added each day. At the end of the league you joined, you can earn game resources based on your ranking in that league.
Special match
Special Matches include 3 different secondary modes:
- Limited time games provide you EA Token And Scout Tickets based on your performance. While EA Tokens can be exchanged for various in-game items, Scout Tickets can help you sign 2- and 3-star players on your side. There are also special completion requirements, squad requirements, and higher difficulty matches to play. The harder the challenge, the more tokens you will receive. Just like in league games, there is a limit to the number of games you can play each day.
- This is a must play mode every day if you want to build your Ultimate XI soon. They are single player games where some basic and advanced challenges are set to complete. When finished, the tutorials earn you items for player and manager development. Also, you can earn a lot of coins which is the base currency of the game. While training items can be used to level up your players and your manager, almost all in-game spending can be made with coins. So visit this mode every day if you want to efficiently level up your players and managers. A limited number of challenges are available each day.
- You can play against friends and guild members at any time. This mode is unlocked at level 2.
Player scouting and empowering talents
Through scouting, you can purchase players for tactical points or scouting tickets. Some scouting opportunities are only accessible for a limited time. You will no longer be able to do Specific Scouting after the time limit expires.
Accumulate trading points to sign your target player
Trade points are nothing more than an in-game currency that can be earned by hiring Scouts. Once you have collected a target number of Swap Points, you can exchange them with your target player. The number of times you participate in some Scoutings will determine how many Swap Points you will receive. Depending on how many times you scout, you can trade Exchange points.
The expiration date of the exchange points is the same as the scout. If you reach the maximum amount of Swap Points you can hold, Scouts who award Swap Points cannot be used for scouting until a trade is made. Level up your players to improve various parameters
The player level up option allows you to level up your players, which in turn increases that player’s various attributes, thus improving his or her performance in the game.
To level up players you need experience points and coins. You just have to select the level you want to take your player to. If you have enough coins and XP, you can even take your player straight to max level. There may be a lucky return in some cases where some of your XP and coins are returned.
Focus on developing your player’s unique traits
1. Improve your player’s skill moves
Simply leveling up your players is not enough. You also need to improve a player’s skill moves. Skill moves are nothing more than some special skills that are unique to your player card. (the classic Mo Salah, dribbling and shooting, for example).
Improving skill moves makes your player get better and more accurate with those moves. You can also let your player learn new skill moves by simply dragging and dropping a skill move into one of the empty slots. When you have an empty secondary slot, you can simply compare the player tag and the tag on the skill move you want to teach your player. When the conditions are met, your player learns skill moves. 1. Choose a Striker as your starting reward
When you start the game for the first time, the game offers you some advanced line players and asks you to choose one as Initial premium. 3. Participate in Ranked Matches to level up quickly
Probably the easiest way to level up in Tactical Football is playing ranked games. As discussed above, you will be inside Amateur 5 initially. But, as you win matches, you earn experience points that help you level up. So make sure you play the ranked matches plenty once they are unlocked.
4. Complete your daily exercises
As discussed above, if you want to quickly develop your Ultimate XI, you need to play this game mode every day. Drills reward you with player and manager development materials upon completion. So this is a no-brainer as you would need a lot of training items to level up your players and manager.
5. Make sure you line up your players in their optimal position
If you put a player in a position that isn’t their favorite, their overall stats and stamina will drop dramatically. So, be sure to line up your player in his favorite / Optimal location. Also, you get a bonus on the player’s stamina when he plays in his favorite position. So make sure you don’t tamper with the player’s position.
6. Plan your tactical moves carefully
I n Tactical football, you play the role of a coach and not a player. It is you who would be asked to answer calls when your opponent is trying to intercept you or perform runs.
- When the ball is in your defender’s leg and your opponent is trying to steal it, check if there is a player available in-side. Pass him the ball or choose Dribbling to try to Dribble him. When your opponent is on the run, it’s time for you to use your defender’s ability move to stop him. You can also use an intercept or Block command. We recommend using the block command if your defender does not have special moves.
- When moving to midfield, you can specify both player and position. Find the opening in the defense, then carefully go through it by swiping the screen of your fingers across the open space, until you reach the player who needs to receive the pass.
- When on offense, the best way to get past two defenders is to use the one-two pass tactic where player 1 tries to advance with the ball but runs into a defender. 8. Other miscellaneous suggestions
- Log in every day to not miss the Rewards for Daily Login.
- Level up your players and manager When possible.
- The farther you are from the goal, the lower your chances of scoring when choosing to shoot. So don’t try long range shots in tactical football because they won’t beat the goalkeeper. Choose the Shoot command only when you are near the Door.
