Team GO Rocket recruits they first debuted in 2019 and have since taken over Pokéstop to steal items and fight Trainers who get in their way. They are also sometimes spotted flying through the sky in Team GO Rocket hot air balloons. If the players want to acquire Shadow Pokémon, they must first defeat the villains of the Team Rocket GO Grunts. Recruits will randomly select a Pokémon from each of the 3 columns to form a team, and the Pokémon can be predicted by looking at the taunts and possible encounters listed above. Grunts do not use shields which means players will have the upper hand in battle and there is also a slight delay in Team GO Rocket Grunts after they have used their charge moves which players can take advantage of and make their own themselves the easiest battle.

Players are advised to have Later on their team alongside Lucario whose Power-up Punch attack will be useful against Team GO Rocket Grunts when there is a delay after they have used any charge move. Charizard is also a great addition to the team as its Fire-type attacks provide good cover. Having these three Pokémon on their team will leave players with a well-rounded team ready for any attack from Pokémon Go Team GO Rocket Grunts.
