How to Unlock and Complete Sumeru Archon Quest Act III “Dreams, Emptiness, Deception” in Genshin Impact

- Talk to Katheryne (Nahida) in Sumeru City and keep following her.
- Gather all the information according to Nahida’s instructions and talk to her.
- Wait until tomorrow afternoon (12:00 to 18:00).
- Follow Nahida’s plan to break Setaria’s mind.
- Talk to Setaria and wait for her plan to visit her the following night. (19: 00-24: 00)

Genshin Impact Sumeru Archon Quest Act III “Dreams, Emptiness, Deception”: in-depth review and discussion
Leaving the latest Archon Quest, we finally investigate the entire plan of the Sages in the Akademia with the help and guidance of Nahida. Nahida once again he is proving to be a very promising and surprising Archon. Despite his underlying insecurities of not being up to par with the previous Archon, Superior Lord Rukkhadevata he is very much at the forefront of helping the Traveler and the people of Sumeru and does not hesitate to directly protect his people at any cost.
Just like the previous Archon Quests on Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma, we come across the Fatuis once again. This time the game presents us with a new Herald. The doctor, the second of the eleven fatuous heralds (Although it was first introduced in the Genshin Impact Webtoon). From first impressions alone, we see the twisted side of the Heralds again as the Doctor explains how he controls the minds of the people of Sumeru and experimented on them.
After the traveler leaves and heads to Pardis Dhyai to find Tighnari and meets Nahida together, they meet Haypasia and she shows the Traveler the “Divine Enlightenment” she saw with the Borneol Spirit. We will then see a fantastic footage of another Fatui Harbinger, Scaramouche the Sixth of the Eleven Nether Heralds.
Scaramouche’s heavy lore dump, also known as Kunikuzushi he really differentiated the character from the rest of the Heralds as we finally get to dive a little bit into his backstory and the goals he is trying to achieve.
At this point, we finally put together the plans and reasons of the Sages for their alliance with the Nether. Having a strong dislike for them Lesser Lord Kusanali the Sages are planning to create a new one God of Wisdom having Scaramouche be their new God with the help of Electro Gnosis stole again in the experimentation of Inazuma and Doctor.
By accessing all of Nahida’s information and tips, the traveler sets up his desert trip. From now on Nahida takes a back seat, as in this Quest and the next Archon Quest, we will experience interesting group chemistry with some new faces that will carry the story and plot forward. When we visit Aru village we meet two new characters, Cino And Canda.
Chemistry between Cyno, Alhaitham, Dehya and Candace
Canda is the guardian of the village of Aaru. Although she is a secondary character, we can study her personality and her ideals of her while searching as a warm-hearted but determined and ferocious warrior. From here we discover the strange case of the disappearances of mad scholars in the village.
Cino it also leaves a very infamous impression on its debut. He appears to be very serious, stoic and hostile. As a trained Mahamatra general, he is a given to have these characteristics. However, Cyno has shown that he is very vigilant in his views on justice, having no means to prevent himself from punishing those who have broken the rules, including Alhaitham.
Dehya And Alhaitham also join the Archon Quest again with Dehya still acting brash as ever and Alhaitham having ulterior motives in mind.
Speaking of Alhaitham, an interesting dynamic duo that stood out the most was Cyno and Alhaitham. It was thrilling to see them collide with hostility (mostly from Cyno’s side) and have passive-aggressive jokes. It sets a tone for their difference of opinion and point of view throughout history. Not to mention, the fight scene between Alhaitham and Cyno outside Aaru village was spectacular to see.
Overall, the group interactions and dynamics of Cyno, Alhaitham, Dehya and Candace throughout the story are refreshing and welcome to see in Archon Quest because in most cases we always see the Traveler and Paimon at the center of the information exchange and some dialogues.
The story prepares to lead to the investigation into the disappearances of the Akademia’s Mad Scholars (Village Keepers) and we’ll probably find our answers in the next Archon Quest. Sumeru’s entire storyline looks promising and could even surpass the other Archon Quests in terms of storytelling and character development.
