As it is now in the game, it is also possible to grow Red Crests from the Serenitea Pot Genshin Impact. This may also change in the future as Red Crest seeds are added to the realm’s vault. Currently, the only way to get Red Crests is to collect them from the open world.

The red crests have a bright crimson color which makes them very easy to spot in the desert. It’s even easier as they grow on cacti that can be seen from afar. All you have to do is get close to them and interact to collect them. Sometimes it may be necessary to climb the cactus. Redcrests almost always spawn in a group, which makes them quite efficient.

The locations of all Redcrest cacti in the Sumeru Desert area are marked on the map below. There are a total of 80 Red Crests to be found, and unlike the Scarabs, all of them are above ground. All of them are also very close to teleportation waypoints, which makes it easier for players to plan an agricultural route.

Players can look at the interactive map of Teyvat for more precise locations or use this video guide to farm them all easily and efficiently.

Uses of Redcrest in Genshin Impact

Starting with version 3.1, creating recipes without using Redcrests. This may change in the future and Red Crests may become a key ingredient in some potions. As of now, only one character uses Redcrest for his ascension and he is Canda, the new Hydro Polearm character released in version 3.1. He requires 168 Red Crests for maximum ascension.
