EFootball 2022 guide: the complete guide and tips for the friend game mode

The long awaited version 1.1.4 update has finally come into operation Electronic football 2022. As promised by KONAMI, this update saw the addition of Friendly Match mode for the first time this season. This eFootball 2022 guide is about the newly added friend game mode, how to access it, the step by step explanation to create a friendly game room to play friendly games and choose the best settings in a friend game.

Just as KONAMI reported, the Developer House’s most popular football title underwent some noteworthy in-game additions and fixes in mid-July. The new Friend Match mode is arguably the best of the new improvements this season. The Friend Match mode of eFootball 2022 is a game mode that allows users to face their friends in an online 1V1 match and show their Dream Team in front of their friends.

However, unlike in previous seasons, the game does not provide you with a FriendList where you can simply add your friends by sending requests to their respective Konami IDs. Instead, we have a new concept in eFootball 2022, known as Match Room which allows users to create a lobby and invite their friends for a 1V1 face-on challenge by sharing the room ID with their friends. To ensure that a random person does not jump into the room, the Friend Match Lobby is equipped with password protection and only those with access to that password can enter the room.

How to play a game of friends in eFootball 2022

Now that we know the basics of Friendly Match mode in eFootball 2022, let’s take a look at the steps to play a friendly match in eFootball 2022.

Go to Heart team from the game’s home screen.
Under Dream Team, you will find the newly added Friend Match section among the existing ones. Tap the next one.
You will find two options in the Friend Match section, namely, Create a match room And Search using Match Room no.

Creation of a match room

If you are the one creating the Friend Match Lobby, go to the Create Match Room option.
Below you will find an optional password protection option. We recommend that you use the password protection function. To enable the same, just tap the slider on the right of Set password option.
Once done, you will find the Password option just below which is highlighted. Tap that.
You will be asked to enter a numeric password not exceeding 8 characters.

After entering the same, tap the Create button in the lower right corner of the Create Match Room page. A new Match Room will be created. Touch the Copy room n. option to copy the room number to the keypad. Now paste the same on your friend’s DM and you’re good to go.

Enter a match room

If your Friend has created the Match Room, you must enter the Match Room. If so, choose the Search using match no. option.
A pop-up menu will then ask you for the Match Room number. Copy the Match Room number your friend shared with you and paste it there.

Tap Search after entering the room number. If the Room is password protected, the Password must be entered later.
You can then view all Match Room details including Match Settings from the pop-up menu. Just tap log into then, to enter the Match Room.

Choosing the best match settings

Here are some of our suggestions on the best Match Room settings to allow users to enjoy the most realistic gaming experience with their friends in eFootball 2022’s Friend Match mode. However, these are just our personal choices. You can always choose the Settings according to your preferences.

Do not set the match duration longer than 6 minutes. We often tend to increase the length of the match, especially when facing our friends. However, a few hours after the update went live, the developers released a message stating that they noticed the possibility of a friend game being canceled if the game takes longer to complete. So, refrain from setting the Playing time greater than 6 minutes currently. The developers made sure to compensate for the same once the problem was fixed.

Activate Injuries, overtime and penalties for a realistic experience. However, for overtime and penalties, change the settings only when the match becoming void bug is fixed in future updates. This is because it could extend the match time.
Match type: Keep it as Standard or Golden Goal according to your preference. However, given the latest problem with Friend Match games, it is best to opt for the Golden Goal rule so that there is a chance to end the match before nothing is rendered.
Do not tamper with the Conditions and leave them at the default Settings.

Final thoughts

Of all the updates that have been rolled out this season, the version 1.1.4 update appears to be the most promising thanks to the addition of Friendly Match mode. Although, to the disappointment of the fans, we can’t increase the length of the match right now. If they fix this soon and also introduce 2V2 and Co-op mode in the next updates, that would be great for the title.

The process is pretty straightforward and there shouldn’t be any technical difficulties. However, sometimes matches may not go according to plan possibly due to the network delay.
