Special rules in Alliance Season 9

Season 9 Alliance

Starting with Season 6, Alliance has acquired new special rules for the season, which can help or be a disadvantage for your team.

Bomber Cookies achieves an 8.0% increase in ATK.

This is a very useful buff, especially for cookies like Sea Fairy Biscuit, Drowned Biscuit, And Poisonous mushroom cookie. Since these cookies are cookies that do heavy damage, the extra ATK would be useful for players battling a tough wave. Sea Fairy would be a good cookie to use for crowd control, while Affogato and Poison Mushroom would be useful for boss battles.

Magic-class cookies get an 8.0% increase in ATK.

This addition makes the cookies magical like Espresso Biscuit, Queen of Frost Biscuit And Clotted cream Cookie packs a heavier punch. Those who are looking to take out the Alliance with a faster duration time tend to use clotted cream or espresso in their main team so they can take out the waves faster.

Healing cookies get a 10% increase in CRIT chance.

A higher chance of CRIT means your healers would be able to help your team survive better. Recommended healing cookies for use in Alliance include Pure vanilla cookie, cream unicorn cookie And Herbal biscuit. This extra boost goes a long way as healing is reduced in the Alliance game mode, so you need all the help you can get. Have the gloomy-looking Scythe treasure on your team plus the Reference point of the CRIT possibility means your healers will have a 53% chance of CRIT!

Alliance Season 9 Wave Guides

While most of the waves in Alliance are easy waves in the sense that there are no bosses or enemies that are difficult to deal with, there are particular bosses that may be difficult if you don’t know which strategy to use. Here is a guide to some of the waves of this Alliance season.

Rye Cookie always targets your cookie with the lowest HP. Usually, this means it would target your most offensive cookie (as attackers are known to have flimsy stats), but if you’re using the main team (Wildberry, Purple Yam, Eclair, Cotton, Pure Vanilla) then it is likely that Rye will attack your Pure Vanilla Cookie.

It is possible that he will die and then you use your free resuscitation. If you want to save your revive for a later round, make sure Pure Vanilla has enough DMG Stamina to tank Rye’s attack. About 25% DMG Resist (with complete Swift Choco toppings) is a safe amount.

Wave 45: Beet Boss and Archers

Like it Rye Biscuit, Beet also attacks your lowest HP cookie. Unlike Wave 40, Beet’s attack is enough to defeat him Pure vanilla regardless of the DMG Resist substats, so a better choice would be to use a one-shot team (with cookies like Raspberry biscuit, vampire biscuit, rye biscuit etc.) here.

Wave 48: Chief sherbet shark

Sorbet Shark is easy to kill with a speed squad. A speed squad usually consists of cookies like Kumiho Cookie (so it can charm enemies, letting the rest of your cookies attack them while they’re momentarily on break), Madeleine Biscuit, Caramel Arrow Biscuit, Lilac Biscuit, And Mint chocolate cookie.

The latter two are needed for the speed squad, while Madeleine and Caramel Arrow are only recommended. Some variations of the speed team use Pastry Cookie, however since Caramel Arrow is much more tank and useful against cookie bosses, people use Caramel Arrow instead.

Wave 52: Boss Threesome with Pumpkin Pie and Fig

This is probably one of the toughest waves of the season as you have three powerful enemies to take note of. One of them is a boss who shoots lasers at your team and wipes out nearly half the health of your entire team, Pumpkin Pie releases his Pompon creature which blocks your team and makes it impossible to kill the boss with melee attacks, and Fig is there to reduce the attacks of your cookies.

A popular choice here is to use a Summoner comp (with cookies such as Crunchy chips, pumpkin, oyster, cotton) and a damage dealer such as Espresso or cherry blossoms. This protects your cookies from enemy hits. Another team is a Tea Knight comp, which she uses Tea Knight Cookie and 4 other offensive cookies. Make sure Tea Knight has a high amount of DMG Resist for it to work and it is recommended to give it a DMG resistance close to 50% with whole almond toppings.

After beating Fig and the Red Boss, you can safely switch to your main team. Your main team should be able to finish Pumpkin Pie easily as it’s not that offensive and is only there to defend the other enemies.

Mala Cookie has a high damage attack, as well as a slow burn effect that gradually decreases your team’s health over time. Since it is too tough to tank with the main team, it is recommended that you only use the main team for a short time and switch to a main team. One-shot squad as soon as his skill reaches your main squad’s cookies. Make sure you do this accurately, if you change too soon it wouldn’t be useless as your next team would get the Burn effect too.

Wave 60: Boss Alchemist

This is the last boss of the season. It’s not as hard to beat as the other bosses, but the main problem here is that by the time you hit this wave, most of your squads would be nearly dead. Make sure you have around 2 or 3 valid squads when you reach this boss so you can get past him and clear the Alliance! Good choices here include One-shot team, Tea Knight Comp And Speed Comp. If your other teams aren’t enough, you can try to finish him off with your main team with any luck.
