SK hynix, a leading memory chip maker, announced that it is now shipping the first shipments of Low Power Double Data Rate 5X (LPDDR5X) mobile DRAM to its customers. The new 24GB LPDDR5X memory will make its debut on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is confirmed to launch in China on August 16th.
24GB Skhynix LPDDR5X chip
SK hynix began mass-producing its 24GB LPDDR5X DRAM in November 2022 using the HKMG process which allows the memory chip to offer best-in-class power efficiency and best-in-class performance. The new 24GB LPDDR5X DRAM operates at ultra-low voltages of 1.01V to 1.12V and is capable of processing up to 68GB of data per second, enough to transfer 13 FHD movies in one second.
OnePlus Chinese President Li Jie added that with the new 24GB memory chip, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is able to open up to 53 apps simultaneously and can hold up to 41 open apps in memory for up to 72 hours. .
