- Go to the nearby teleportation point “Devantaka Mountain”.
- Enter the cave behind the teleportation point.
- Continue a bit, go left and then go straight after this and you will find the Aeonblight Drake boss arena.
Introducing the Aeonblight Drake in Genshin Impact
A ruined machine that can absorb energy and hurl it back as an attack, this machine has even greater abilities than Ruin Drake being able to attack both from the ground and from the air. The Drake of Aeonblight can periodically release a dangerous torrent and increase his Elemental RES against the previous main type of Elemental DMG he suffered in terms of weaknesses core his whole body will be exposed under various circumstances.
Take these opportunities to successfully attack the boss, hitting the cores will immobilize and remove his elemental RES boost. Whenever the boss recovers from paralysis, he will switch from air strikes to ground strikes.
How to defeat the Aeonblight Drake in Genshin Impact
To defeat the boss, we must first take a look at his attack patterns:
Ground attacks
The boss has 5 unique attacks while on the ground:
- Tail sweep: Easy to spot and dodge, just use the dash to do the job. This move is generally done with a 2 attack combo followed by a tail sweep.
- Fist in the arm: It does this when the players are directly in front of it, to avoid using a dash or moving sideways. His shoulders light up as he executes this attack.
- Charging Attack (Ground): This move is only performed when a player is away from the boss, move to the side if you see the boss charging towards you.
- Elemental Rain: Creates a small AoE area close to its surroundings and then floods the area with its Elemental attack. However, the attack has a slower cast time, so it gives players enough time to get out of range.
Air attacks
The boss also has 3 airborne attack models:
- Air gun: Performs an airborne attack by shooting players. Run sideways or double dash to avoid DMG.
- Searching missiles: Shoot missiles at the players that hit them for some time and then go in a straight line. These are easy to dodge when you are away from the boss.
- Charging attack (air): The tail lights up and the boss charges players with his tail, move or dash to the side to avoid
Note: To avoid the boss flight phase and waste time, grounded characters cannot strike while the boss is in the air. Use the characters with the bow to hit its core near the shoulders and head to stun it for a short amount of time and keep it on the ground
The best team compositions to defeat the Aeonblight Drake
In general, any team composition is fine for Aeonblight Drake as it is not a great challenge, but still, players should keep in mind that they need a:
- Arc character: To keep the boss on the ground.
- Healer: To keep the team alive during the fight.
- DPS duel: Since Aeonblight Drake has special abilities to develop resistance to the previous main DPS element, players should have a second character that deals a good amount of damage to the boss.
