The largest annual mobile technology show takes place next week, and we thought you’d enjoy a rundown of the major events and attendees who have confirmed their attendance. There are several high-profile debuts to take place from the likes of Xiaomi, Honor, and Realme, as well as many other interesting product launches.

MWC 2023: what to expect

Saturday 25 February – HMD Global

HMD is kicking things off with its announcements on Saturday. While we don’t have an actual confirmation of what devices will be launched, we do expect new Nokia smartphones and maybe some smart accessories as well.

Sunday 26 February – Xiaomi, OnePlus, TCL

Sunday is shaping up to be a big day with Xiaomi’s global launch event for its Xiaomi 13 series. Finally, we’ll get the details on the prices and availability of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. We’re also hoping for some news on the Xiaomi 13 Lite models and Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

OnePlus is expected to showcase its OnePlus 11 Concept device with its unique light strips on the back. We’ve seen two official teasers for the device, but the actual functionality of the blue back stripes remains a mystery. They are said to be used to provide active cooling for the device.

TCL is also preparing to host its own launch event on Sunday, where we’re likely to see the latest installments in its smartphone and tablet lines.

Monday 27 February – Honour

Honor announces the Magic5 series flagships on Monday, consisting of the Magic5 and Magic5 Pro. Based on the latest rumors, both phones will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and at least 66W fast charging.

The Magic Vs foldable, which launched in China in November, is also expected to be released globally.

Thursday 28 February – Realme, Tecno, ZTE

Realme will announce its GT3 smartphone on February 28. The device is expected to be the global variant of the GT Neo5 and will feature the same blazing-fast 240W charging system that performs a full charge from 0 to 100% in just 9 minutes and 37 seconds. .

Tecno is also looking to take the stage at MWC with its first foldable phone: the Phantom V Fold. We’ve already had confirmation that the device is powered by the Dimension 9000+ chipset, but we’ll learn all its details as well as pricing and availability during the event.

ZTE will also hold a main event where we will see the brand’s interesting Nubia Pad 3D tablet and Neovision AR smart glasses.
