One of Apple’s most renowned analysts, Ming-Chi Kuo, says Apple’s future AirPods Pro 2 are on time and will not be affected by the supply chain constraints Chinese manufacturing is experiencing right now.
This is mainly due to the fact that Apple has moved some of its production to Vietnam, where the COVID-19 situation is very different from China’s. This, in turn, means the pair will be introduced in the second half of this year, with mass production starting around that time as well.
In addition to that report, Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the AirPods Pro 2 will keep the Lightning port for charging and the replacement of USB-C will happen with the next generations. Apple is likely to introduce its iPhone 15 with USB-C connector first, and accessories will follow.
