The hype has been steadily developing for Horizon Forbidden West, the Guerilla Games title that will build on the success of 2017’s release Horizon Zero Dawn. Now, a new trailer helps us learn more about this upcoming game and its exciting cast of characters.
Matrix fans will enjoy seeing Carrie-Ann Moss play Tilda, a character as fashionable as she is mysterious. Angela Bassett plays the character of Regalla, although we don’t have a chance to see her in the trailer. The trailer, however, shows us Noshir Dalal playing the warrior Tenakth Kotallo.
In the trailer, Moss talks about what it was like to bring the world of this game to life. “I play this very interesting character named Tilda who is quite a dynamic character,” he says. “As an artist, there is a lot of freedom in doing something like this. You can be in the moment, get directions from the director, try it again and again. I felt like creatively, it was a lot of fun. There’s a lot of mystery about her – I don’t want to say too much – but she’s an interesting character and I enjoyed playing her. “
What motivates these characters? It appears that Kotallo is trying to make peace between the different tribes of the Forbidden West. The character Aloy enters hijinx after bumping into Kotallo, and the character Sylens is something of a mysterious wildcard driven largely by ego.
We’ll know more once this title launches for PS4 and PS5 on February 18th.
