Honor introduced the V Purse concept in early September and then launched the actual smartphone two weeks later in China. The leaflet has been on sale since yesterday, but is already receiving the first update.

The new MagicOS 7.2.0.111 package is huge in size: 6.19 GB and brings security improvements, as well as features that enrich the user experience with the screen.

Some of the improvements include features that have been advertised since day one. One of them is called Variety Wallet: it allows the part of the screen that folds at the back to have a background that makes the device look like a real bag.

The smaller panel can also remind you that a call is coming when the front is used, and can also display a WeChat QR code to facilitate money transfers. Additionally, the V Purse will now make a sound when the button is pressed to open the device.

Honor V Purse is on sale in China with a starting price of CNY 5,999. For the equivalent of $820, you get a 7.71-inch foldable OLED panel, Snapdragon 778G chipset, and two cameras.

The phone impresses with a slim body of 4.3mm when unfolded and, thanks to the hinge, there is zero space, bringing the phone to 8.6mm when folded.
