World of Warships Review | Gammick

Fight

The developers clearly didn’t want to make it a simulation experience. Rather they want you to be involved in as much action as possible. There are several classes of ships and they have their own characteristics. Destroyers are lighter machines, capable of moving more skillfully. However, they don’t have a powerful punch like larger cruisers and battleships.

Having different types of ships means there is an opportunity for interesting encounters. After all, combat is all about using your ship’s strengths and harnessing your opponent’s weaknesses.

The maps themselves also keep the combat engaging, as they force you to change tactics. Some are wide open, while others have lots of environment to use. Good variety in the maps ensures that things never get too stale and every game feels different.

Thanks to the fairly simple controls, World of Warships is also very accessible. You don’t have to learn complex menus or worry about getting used to many commands. Coping with the displacement of ships and enemy engagement is not hindered by controls. Using a controller on the console versions is also intuitive and works well.

Consequently, anyone should be able to play this game without difficulty. Of course, the added benefit of simpler controls is that combat is more fun. Not having to worry too much about ship control allows you to focus on the actual action.
