In addition to the exciting gameplay, Tekken 7 features 36 playable characters, including all-time favorites like Law and Paul and rookie fighters alike. This is a remarkable list (dwarfed only by games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), especially when you consider that each character has a huge and complex move set that is completely unique. There are so many moves and combos to master in the game that it is mind-boggling and makes for countless hours of experimentation and competitive play. This is especially great for fans of the series, as we have seen many of these characters grow over the years and have also introduced new ones.
History
As for the characters, those who have followed the series will be thrilled to learn that this is another continuation of the saga of the previous games. Without spoiling too much for those who haven’t kept up, it contains some interesting plot developments and twists, including the conclusion of a major story arc. The cinematic endings for each character are more fun than they typically were in the past. So, this is also an advantage.
But at the end of the day, anyone serious about playing Tekken games knows that it’s not so much the story as the thrill of the fight that makes the game so worthwhile.
