Remember that vivo X Fold S that was to be launched imminently a few weeks ago? Well, it turns out that it could be called something else when it finally hits the market, namely vivo X Fold + 5G. The device has just been certified for sale in China by TENAA and this process revealed that it has a 4,600mAh battery capacity (made up of two 2,300mAh parts).

As the name suggests, the device also has 5G support of course, we are talking about the N1, N28, N41, N78 and N79 bands. Works with Android 12.

According to past rumors and rumors, vivo X Fold + 5G will have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset to power it, as well as support for 80W fast charging (8 Gen 1 and 66W respectively, on the original X Fold).

A slightly more robust 4,700mAh battery was also rumored, but TENAA certification reveals that it didn’t work and the X Fold + has to make do with the same capacity as its predecessor.

Now that it has been certified for sale, the official announcement cannot be left behind. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when the vivo X Fold + 5G is unveiled, but don’t hope internationally – it’s highly likely this will only be sold in China, just like the original.
