In early March, vivo released the V27 Pro. Now, a few weeks later, the Chinese company is set to unveil the V29 Pro. We’re not sure what’s going on here – normally skipping a couple numbers forward is what what do the successors in vivoland do, but a new release so soon is kind of weird.

Regardless, vivo Philippines has released a teaser page for the upcoming V29 Pro, which is “coming soon.” Thankfully, that page reveals most of the phone’s key specs, so let’s go through them and see how this model compares to the V27 Pro, at least on paper.

The vivo V29 Pro teaser reveals the most important specifications

The V29 Pro features a 6.7-inch 1080p 120Hz curved OLED touchscreen, a “64MP triple rear camera solution,” a 50MP primary front-facing camera (implying there’s more than a) and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast wired charging. The phone will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Those are some pretty good specs, and compared to the V27 Pro, the V29 Pro likely has the same screen, a different main rear camera (64MP on the new model, 50MP on the old one), and a bigger battery. The V27 Pro is also offered with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but it has other versions as well.

Naturally, the V29 Pro is expected to run Android 13 with vivo’s Funtouch 13 on top when it becomes fully official.
