The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 kicks off in Barcelona, Spain on February 26, and the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) have announced the MWC 2024 mobile awards nominees in three categories: Best Smartphone, Innovation for revolutionary devices and Best Connected Consumer Device.
GLOMO selected Apple, Google, OnePlus, Oppo and Samsung smartphones for the Best Smartphone category, which includes foldable and non-foldable devices.
Best Smartphone category
Nominations for breakthrough device innovation include Google for its AI imaging capability and commitment to software updates for the Pixel, while Honor was shortlisted for the Magic V2’s dual silicon-carbon battery technology. We also have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in the list.

The Best Connected Consumer Device category includes devices that bring “new, intelligent applications, efficiency and functionality to the user, at home or on the go.”

There is also a Best In Show category, but it has no nominations yet. After all, the MWC has yet to begin. GLOMO says the winner of this category “will be chosen from product or device launches ahead of and during MWC 2024” and the “award will be judged based on the best products on display and will be considered by a select group of judges physically present at the show.”
