The wait is almost over: Sony has finally announced the price and launch date of the PlayStation VR2 headset. It will launch on February 22 next year, but pre-orders will begin in a couple of weeks.

The PSVR2 will cost $ 550 / € 600 / £ 530 / ¥ 75,000, making it more expensive than the original $ 400. It will cost more than the Meta Quest 2, even after the price hike (to $ 400). Included in this basic package are the VR headset itself, two VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones.

You can also grab a controller charging station for $ 50 / € 50 / £ 40 / ¥ 5,500. There is also the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle, which includes a voucher for the game.

By the way, Sony also announced 11 new PlayStation VR2 titles: The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, Crossfire: Sierra Squad, The Light Brigade, VR City – Advanced Edition, High Cosmonico, Hello neighbor: search and rescue, Collection of aftermath of the Jurassic world, VR whip gun, Zenith: The last city, After the fall And Sprawling. We’ve included trailers for these at the bottom. Note that these are in addition to previously announced titles such as the new Horizon game, Resident Evil Village and a couple more games.

Let’s go back to PSVR2. Fans in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will only be able to purchase headphones from the official direct.playstation.com store. Pre-orders start on November 15th.

In other markets, the VR headset will be sold through participating retailers (including pre-orders starting November 15). More details will be available from the retailers themselves.
