Samsung released the Galaxy S23 series last week, all of which come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The Korean manufacturer hasn’t launched its Exynos platform for flagships, but is still working on one, according to the latest rumors.

Ice universe, known for accurate information on Samsung products, has revealed that there is an Exynos 2400 in the pipeline. The chipset CPU will switch from octa-core architecture and will have 10 cores: 1x Cortex-X4 + 2x Cortex-A720 (highest frequency) + 3x Cortex-A720 (lowest frequency) + 4x Cortex-520.

There is no information on which smartphone could power this chipset, if any: the foldables, usually launched in the summer, have used Qualcomm chipsets since their inception. Given that the Exynos 2100 arrived in 2021 for the S21 series and the Exynos 2200 followed suit a year later, it’s reasonable to expect the Exynos 2400 twelve months from now for the Galaxy S24 range.
