introduction

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is an intriguing entry-level smartphone with a premium design, solid looking specs and a large battery. It is marketed as a budget cameraphone for its high-resolution primary and selfie cameras and powerful LED flashes alongside each of these.

In fact, the first thing anyone would notice about the Tecno Spark 10 Pro is the design – it’s a double-glazed structure with nice color options and a completely matte finish. Then comes the large IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

The back looks a lot like newer iPhones, and that’s probably intentional. Looks can be deceiving, of course: there’s a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor on the back, and a dual-LED flash.

The front-facing camera looks interesting: it’s a 32MP imager that’s Quad-Bayer in nature and can shoot in both 8MP and 32MP resolutions. Oh, and there’s a dual-LED flash around, so nighttime selfie photography should be easy.

The Spark 10 Pro runs on the Helio G88 chipset and is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The phone runs on the Android 13 operating system with Tecno’s His 12 user interface.

The only thing we miss when looking at the spec sheet is splash resistance. But only a few Moto and Redmi phones offer such a thing in this price range.

Tecno Spark 10 Pro unboxing

The retail box of the Tecno Spark 10 Pro is chock full of niceties, which is quite surprising given the smartphone’s budget status. There’s an 18W charger and USB cable for starters.

Then there’s a clear soft case for extra protection. And the phone comes with a protective film already applied to the top of the screen.

But there’s more! The Spark 10 bundle also includes a 3.5mm earphone with microphone, slightly reminiscent of Apple’s older wired EarPods. And since the phone comes with FM radio, you’ll have the FM antenna ready to go.
