Sony has announced a new portable streaming device that will be able to stream your PS5 games over Wi-Fi via Remote Play. The device is called Project Q and features an 8-inch LCD screen with 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The screen is attached to a DualSense controller with all the same buttons and functionality as the PS5 controller aside from the touchpad which will presumably be integrated into the touchscreen.

Sony specifies that you’ll only be able to stream PS5 games downloaded to your console, so there doesn’t seem to be any native or cloud gaming planned just yet, but the latter could change at the time of official launch. Sony hasn’t revealed any pricing information yet, but has confirmed that Project Q will hit the market later this year.

In addition to Project Q, Sony also announced its official PlayStation wireless headsets. These in-ear headphones will offer a “new wireless technology developed by Sony” that delivers lossless audio and low latency over Bluetooth.

The Sony Project Q is a game streaming handheld arriving later this year

No further details about the earphones have been shared, so we’ll have to wait for more information from Sony.
