OnePlus will launch the Ace 2 in China next week and we are quite confident that it will be the same as the OnePlus 11R, which will hit the international scene at the same time. Today, the company shared more details about the upcoming phone with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

In a series of posts on Weibo, OnePlus has revealed that the Ace 2 will ship with an Oppo SuperVOOC S power management chip and will also have a separate chip for image rendering and refresh rate, offloading some of the work from the Qualcomm SoC.

The Ace 2 will also have a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

OnePlus is touting the new phone as a “three-chip powerhouse” with longer battery life, impressive graphics, and the premium performance powered by the Snapdragon. Users will have more control over how the battery’s capacity is used and internal tests indicate a life of four years, which in practice means 1,600 full recharges and discharges, and then maintaining capacity at over 80%.

The main difference between Ace 2 and 11R is what the user interface will be called: China has adopted the ColorOS 13 way, while the global version will carry OxygenOS. The phones look like the flagship OnePlus 11 with one major difference: there’s no Hasselblad branding on the back, so image processing should be a little less impressive.
