Honor has announced a couple of new phones in China with the X40 GT with Snapdragon 888 and Play 6C with Snapdragon 480+.
Honor X40 GT
Honor X40 GT has a 6.81-inch FHD + IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sample rate. The device also features an impressive 8-layer graphite cooling pad that can cool the surface temperature of the phone up to 1 degree Celsius. The phone runs on the slightly old but still capable Snapdragon 888 platform with 8 / 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The rear houses a 50MP main cam along with a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth of field module while the selfie cam comes in at 16MP. Honor X40 GT comes with 4,800mAh battery and 66W fast charging. Launch Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12.

The Honor X40 GT is available in black, silver and racing black colors with a starting price of CNY 2,099 ($ 290) for the 8/256 GB trim. The 12/256 GB mode costs 2,399 CNY ($ 332), and open sales in China are scheduled for October 18.
Honor Play 6C
Honor Play 6C is the brand’s latest budget-oriented device. It features a 6.5-inch HD + resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a teardrop notch for its 5MP selfie cam. The device is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480+ chipset along with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage via microSD.
The back of the Play 6C houses a 13MP main camera along with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. The Android 12-based Magic UI 5.0 covers the software side while the battery is rated at 5,000mAh and supports fast charging at 22.5W. The phone features a fingerprint scanner built into the power and power button. a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Honor Play 6C in black, silver and blue
The Honor Play 6C is available in black, silver and blue colors starting at 1,099 CNY ($ 153) for the 6/128 GB casing. There is an 8/128 GB model for CNY 1,299 ($ 180) and both are already available to order in China. Global pricing and availability are yet to be detailed.
