The race is on to launch the first devices powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The vivo sub-brand iQOO also wants to play, so it is working on iQOO 11 Pro.

Our industry sources revealed some exclusive information today regarding this device. First, it will actually use Qualcomm’s next top-of-the-line chipset, as suggested by a prototype benchmark run a few days ago.

Next, the iQOO 11 Pro will come with vivo’s V2 image processing chip, which was made official last week and promises better low-light optimizations and overall faster processing.

The handset will have a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED touchscreen, as well as a BMW M Motorsports-inspired design, according to our sources. It will be running Android 13 from the time of launch.

By the way, it could be launched in January in India, although it seems that the exact date has not yet been set in stone. Clearly then, this will be among the first devices to hit the market powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and it looks like it could be among the most exciting of the bunch as well.

According to previous rumors, the iQOO 11 Pro will have a 4,700mAh battery with support for 200W charging, 120Hz refresh rate for the QHD+ screen, and PWM dimmer up to 1440Hz to prevent flicker.
