In Marvel Snap, location is everything. To win, your only goal is to control as many locations as possible. However, as each has its own distinct effect, each game will require you to change your strategy on the fly. Stances can completely turn any game upside down, from simple effects like adding Power to your cards to the ultimate seventh-turn addition.

How Marvel Snap location works

During each game of Marvel Snap, three random positions will appear in the center of the board, one round at a time. Each site provides a modifier that changes the lane of the game. Some are simple enough to manage, like Central Park, which adds a Squirrel card to each location, or Lemuria, which prevents cards from being revealed for one turn.

Some, however, may present a greater obstacle. In Crimson Cosmos, for example, you can’t play cards that cost one, two, or three energy points. Not ideal if your deck is full of cheap cards. Meanwhile, the Nexus applies its scoring to all other locations, turning the lane into a high-stakes battlefield. It’s also important to keep in mind that occasionally a match will feature the same location twice, which can present some unique challenges.
