Blockman Go was a game that became quite popular over the years and was kind of a mix of Minecraftserver-based games e Roblox. Now, Garena, the famous game developer and publisher, took over the game’s operations in some regions and the game was renamed Garena Blockman Go. Still the same game but with new management and we hope to see the game go in a more positive direction. Here in this article we will review Garena Blockman GO and share our first impressions of the game.

Create and play your own games similar to a Roblox-like platform

Starting with revision, Garena Blockman GO seems to have really taken some serious inspiration from Roblox (to the point that yes, it can be considered a copy). Everything from the menus to the block designs of the game itself looks very similar to Roblox.

That doesn’t mean it’s not a good game and it was pretty fun. Bed warsa group of different shooters, escape from prison, and many others have turned out to be fun experiences. You don’t play games that you would play too long if you are a serious gamer because who would choose a game with aged graphics over something like this Apex Legends Mobile.

Now it is important to understand that Garena Blockman Go is not a game in itself. It is a platform where users can create, upload and run their own games. These games can be based around anything and rely heavily on multiplayer elements as players come together and can role-play in different cities and situations, take up arms and play a block version of Battlefield or take part in other competitive events. There are a lot of games with a really active community, so there are no quiet moments in any of the main games.

Garena Blockman Go doesn’t have any specific advantage over Roblox, which is a more refined experience so to speak with larger player bases. Now one thing to note is that this game works a little better on lower spec devices, which Roblox may not necessarily do too well, so if you’re running a lower mid-range device then you might want to consider Blockman Go.

The game really has it all from FPSyou know Role playing game to parkour, so there is no shortage of content for players to enjoy and much of the gameplay really depends on what the developers are putting on the platform. These games aren’t the finest or most engaging, and you’ll probably have the best time Call of Duty Mobile what to say, First line but that’s not the appeal of this game, so it’s not a very solid critique.

The graphics are definitely not the strongest suit in the game, but it offers smooth controls and user interface

Now the graphics differ from game to game, but if you’re not serious about the graphics side of things, most games would be fine. They’re nowhere near perfect or realistic, but again, if you’re playing this game you’re probably not looking for top-notch graphics or audio. It’s a little janky both ways, but it works for this game.

The controls and the user interface are both quite good. They work satisfactorily and the user interface is actually quite well designed and works well, albeit very similar to the Roblox user interface. Again this game is a Roblox clone, so it’s not unexpected. We also didn’t encounter too many bugs or glitches during our testing period.

No ads, but IAPs exist in the Blockman Go sandbox world

The game doesn’t really have much in the way of advertising, but there are in-app purchases. Now, for a while, there have been issues with the original Blockman Go game where monetization has become a bit predatory and with Garena running it, there may be some changes. As of now, the currencies are a bit sparse.

Final verdict

Games like Roblox and Garena Blockman Go obviously don’t advertise the best gameplay. It’s more along the lines of minigames which are far from perfect in terms of gameplay or visual quality, but have social elements and loads of slightly below average experiences.

Now Roblox is still the obvious choice when it comes to minigame platforms. However, as mentioned above, those with low-performance devices can definitely try Blockman Go and it’s always good to have alternatives around.

Blockman Go has some issues in terms of monetization, however a more experienced developer like Garena might allow for some improvements in the future. It has some really fun experiences with some caveats.

Game mechanics – 7

Game content and variety – 8

Graphics and Music – 7

Controls and User Interface – 8

Free-to-play elements – 6

7.2

Average

While Roblox is still the obvious choice when it comes to minigame platforms, Blockman Go offers a nice and strong alternative, especially for low-end devices.
