Fried chicken, easy and foolproof recipe

The fried chicken it is a very tasty second course, typical of American cuisinewhich has now spread all over the world. Preparation

Break the eggs into a fairly large bowl, beat them with a fork and add the grated lemon zest first, then the juice.

Add the salt, pepper and dried thyme. Mix well.

Add the chicken, give it a stir, cover with a sheet of transparent film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

When the chicken has marinated enough, start mixing paprika and garlic powder in a container.

Pour the oil for frying into a pan and bring it to a medium flame. Heat up to 160°. Meanwhile, drain the chicken and roll it in the breadcrumbs.

As soon as the oil reaches the temperature, gently dip a few pieces of chicken. Cook them for 10 minutes, turn them over and continue cooking for another 10 minutes on the other side.

When cooked, drain the chicken and let it drain on a sheet of absorbent paper. Add a pinch of salt.

Advice and tips

You can flavor the chicken with other spices, especially if you like strong flavors: chili powder, tandoor masalahot paprika.

If you want a really tasty fried chicken, add some grated parmesan together with the egg and lemon!

It is advisable to consume fried chicken immediately so that it does not lose its crunchiness.

You can possibly store it in the refrigerator, covered with transparent film, for 1 day maximum. Freezing is not recommended.
