Quick and easy pasta with sausage

There pasta with sausage it is a simple and tasty dish, but above all very quick to prepare. A delicious homemade first course ideal for family dinners, but it could also become a good ally in case of an unexpected guest. It is basically a pasta with white sausage sauce, all colored by cherry tomatoes, so there is no shortage of colors for a beautiful presentation of the dish. We have chosen to combine the pasta with the sausage penne, of course, other types of pasta are equally suitable. An ingredient that goes very well with pasta and sausage is definitely the pecorinonot used by us for this recipe.

Ingredients for 4

  • Penne rigate: 320 g
  • Sausage: 350 g
  • Cherry tomatoes: 150 g
  • Onion: 1
  • Clove of garlic: 1
  • Dry white wine: 100 ml
  • Evo oil: to taste
  • Salt up: to taste
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Coarse salt: 1 tbsp
  • Water: 3 l
  • Preparation: 10 minutes
  • Cooking: 15 minutes
  • Total: 25 minutes
  • Calories: 205 kcal / 100 g

Preparation

Let’s start by putting a pot of salted water on the fire to boil to cook the pasta. Remove the sausage casing and cut it into small pieces.

Peel the onion and chop finely.

Finally wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into pieces.

When the water boils, add the pasta and cook it al dente. Check the cooking times shown on the package.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic and onion.

Sauté for a couple of minutes.

Remove the garlic and add the sausage.

Quickly shell it with a fork.

When it is well browned, add salt, pepper and deglaze with the white wine.

Cook for about 5 minutes, taking care to let the wine evaporate completely, add the chopped tomatoes.

Add a ladle of the pasta cooking water.

Cook for a few more minutes, then turn off the heat. Drain the pasta al dente with a slotted spoon and transfer directly to the pan.

Mix quickly and well to mix everything. Serve your pasta with sausage hot.

Advice and conservation

For an excellent result of the dish it is obvious that the choice of a quality sausage remains fundamental, but we all have ours trusted butcher that will not disappoint us!

It is preferable to serve it immediately while still hot. As with all pasta preparations it is possible to add other ingredients as desired like cream and a generous sprinkling of Parmesan if desired.

Adding chili powder can also be a great idea.

Pasta with sausage can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, in an airtight container. Warm up before serving
