Homemade hot chocolate mix

The preparation for hot chocolate is a practical recipe to always keep ready in the pantry, in order to have some hot chocolate without preservatives added and therefore also perfect for children. It is always a pleasure to enjoy it in front of a fireplace, perhaps with a blanket and a good book. In addition to being very comfortable for us it is also one yummy DIY Christmas gift idea, with a star-shaped jar, with a cork, with a nice Christmas ribbon, the label that says “prepared for hot chocolate” and on the back the ingredients to add and how to prepare it. You can always make a basket with more of these gifts or wrap it in Christmas bags or wrapping paper. It will be truly appreciated and will make anyone who receives it happy. This preparation does not contain sugar, so you can add it to taste after preparing it, but above all choose the sugar you like best. As a small idea to make your preparation even more special, you can tie a small cruet with a spice of your choice (such as cinnamon) around the cap with a red ribbon.

Advice:

It is possible to create a “sweet” version using sugared cocoa, it is possible to replace milk chocolate with dark chocolate.

Have you already tried the white chocolate version? Just replace the quantity of cocoa with potato starch and choose whether to sweeten it or not after having “cooked” and thickened it.

It is also possible to flavor the hot chocolate by choosing particular sugar (lavender, orange or tangerine) or add spices to your liking.
