Samsung Galaxy phone running Android 13, Samsung Galaxy tablet running Android 10, and AndrOS sandbox for diagnostics.
This is by far the largest apk I've ever attempted. At 1.3GB, it installs as a 2.03GB app.
The API is able to run on Android 5 and up.
The first time through the app crashed as I had to set up Overlay Permission (for the MOD Menu) and that caused the OS to shut down the game itself. After the permission is set, this is no longer an issue.
Amazingly, the game loads. After a moment, the MOD Menu appears and can be opened.
Shortly after that however, the game crashes.
On both physical devices it just exits.
In the sandbox, I am able to trace and capture the crash:

In my own research, I find that the crash exceptionMessage: Segmentation fault is usually caused by a ROOT test (not absence or presence of rooted device, rather, the actual test process.)
I hope this helps, and I'd really like to know if anyone else gets this or it the modded app works for them.

After doing more research, I have been able to install MK on all devices, same version, similar mods, from another modder. This shows that the app actually does work. See snapshot below.
This mod did not require overlay permissions for the MOD Menu (which I blurred out) to work.
This mod does not crash the game.
As it is the same version above, I can therefor only conclude that it is the mod here that is crashing the game.
I suspect the mod here may be attempting to use ROOT access. As none of my devices are rooted, it won't work. This is only a guess. Short of de-compiling and reverse engineering this massive apk, only the modder knows what he/she did to change it and how it was accomplished.
Several of the more recent apps from this modder are exhibiting similar results. It seems to happen with a pop-up indicating the modder's name and SBenny info. It would be worth testing a smaller apk with and without that popup code to determine if that code is actually the issue.

@Snailsoft I am not sure why it crashed since the Backtrace leads to libhoudini.so which is just a library to convert the ARM to x86_64 so that the application is able to run on the native device.

In my own research, I find that the crash exceptionMessage: Segmentation fault is usually caused by a ROOT test (not absence or presence of rooted device, rather, the actual test process.)

Not necessarily, Segmentation fault occurs when we try to access a memory pointer or location which we do not have permission of.

The mod is not attempting to use Root access nor it has any codes to utilize root access.

Several of the more recent apps from this modder are exhibiting similar results. It seems to happen with a pop-up indicating the modder's name and SBenny info. It would be worth testing a smaller apk with and without that popup code to determine if that code is actually the issue.

Apart from Episode and Mortal Kombat I am not aware of any mods which might be causing crashes. I am actually working on the Episode currently. Mortal Kombat is quite buggy by default, Perhaps the other mod which you showed did some assetpacks installation which has been shown to cause lag/freezes in the devices.

I haven't been able to replicate the issues on my physical device which is Nothing Phone 1 with Android 14 but I would suggest you to wait for the next update.

Being a smaller app, de-compiling it and removing the modded code, the app worked to a point. This suggests it is the mod code that is the issue.
This has been very recently. All of KDMT mods I've used in the past have worked very well.
Granted, with some 4 billion types of devices running all types of versions of Android, some devices are bound to not work. That being said, all the apps that have failed recently have been tested using other mods of the same version and without crashing. Ergo, the problems is not with the app, rather, something to do with the mod and something the modder has recently changed, would be my guess.
I mainly wanted to find out if my phone could even take on an app so large.
I will keep an eye out for updates, but at the size of this game, I won't be doing rapid updating.
If you have any test apps you'd like me to try out to see if the bug can be trapped, let me know. It is frustrating when you can't reproduce the problem yourself.

Ah, My bad in that case. Mortal Kombat was made by me so I spoke in the context of my mods. I will notify KDMT to check out the problems.
